Hey there! If you’re on the hunt for the perfect spot to soak up the late summer vibes, the general rule is: the further south, the better. In October, places like Croatia, Italy, Portugal, and Spain enjoy average temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius. However, not all glamping spots are open in October. So, I’ve done some digging to find some awesome places where you can still get your glamping fix during the fall break.
Discover Croatia
In Croatia, Camping Bi Village is open until the end of October, and Camping Poljana welcomes guests until mid-October. Croatia is an absolute gem with its ancient towns, breathtaking nature, and delicious cuisine. In October, you can expect average daytime temperatures of 20 degrees and nighttime temperatures around 12 degrees.
Glamping in Sardinia
The Italian island of Sardinia is a fantastic place to explore by car. It’s also great for hiking, especially when the weather is a perfect 22 to 23 degrees during the day and around 13 degrees at night. Camping Laguna Blu stays open until the end of October.
Luxury Camping in Portugal
In Northern Portugal, October brings daytime temperatures around 21 degrees and nighttime temperatures of 11 degrees. Here, you’ll find the quaint glamping spot Quinta do Cascalhal, where you can rent a safari tent with a private pool until the end of October. Down in Southern Portugal, in the Algarve, it’s even warmer with daytime temperatures of 23 degrees and nighttime temperatures of 14 degrees. Algarve Safari Lodge is open throughout October.
Enjoying Spain
I’ve found three fabulous spots in Spain where the average temperatures in October are around 23 degrees during the day and 15 degrees at night. At Ecolodge Refugio Marnes, you can stay in a Jaima, a cozy Bedouin tent, until the end of October. Balcón de Andaluz is open all year, just like Casa del Mundo located on the Costa Blanca, a popular winter training spot for many professional cyclists.
