From the serene green valleys tucked away inland to the breathtaking coastline that could easily take the crown for one of the world’s most stunning, Portugal’s got it all. The Algarve, with its whimsical rock formations and sandy beaches, felt like stepping into a fairy tale. And let’s not forget the mild climate that makes outdoor adventures a year-round affair. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or camping, Portugal’s weather is your ally, offering the perfect backdrop for your escapades, especially in the cooler, pleasant winter months.
The Azores: A Volcanic Paradise Awaiting
Top of my wishlist? The Azores. This volcanic archipelago, smack in the middle of the Atlantic and proudly Portuguese, is calling my name with its emerald lakes and lush landscapes. Staying in a holiday home here is the dream, especially since our camper might have a tough time crossing the ocean! The crater lakes of Sete Cidades and the hot springs of Furnas are on my must-see list.
