Recipe Time: Stuffed Hamburger 🍔

Feeling adventurous and want to try something a bit more exciting than the usual chicken satay or spare ribs? We’ve got a scrumptious stuffed hamburger recipe that’s sure to impress. Ready in about 20 minutes, this recipe is perfect for four people.

Ingredients

  • 400 grams of beef mince
  • 150 grams of veal mince
  • 2 eggs
  • 30 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 1 shallot (finely chopped)
  • 2 sprigs of thyme (finely chopped)
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary (needles stripped, finely chopped)
  • 2 sprigs of parsley (finely chopped)
  • 80 grams of fresh spinach
  • 80 grams of Ricotta cheese
  • 40 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Meat spices
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Let’s Get Cooking!

  1. Start by mixing the beef and veal mince, eggs, breadcrumbs, shallot, thyme, rosemary, parsley, and meat spices. Knead until it’s all nicely blended.
  2. Divide the mixture into eight equal parts and roll them into balls.
  3. For the filling, mix the spinach, ricotta, Parmesan cheese, and egg yolk. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Take one meatball, flatten it, and scoop a little dent in the center with a spoon. Lay a slice of bacon over it, then spoon a quarter of the ricotta mix on top.
  5. Flatten another meatball, place a slice of bacon on it, and sandwich it on top of the first, pressing the edges to seal your burger masterpiece. If you have a burger press, now’s the time to use it, but don’t sweat it if you don’t.
  6. Grill each side of the burger for about 8-10 minutes with the lid open, letting it cook slowly to perfection.
  7. Serve with some crispy fried potatoes, and voila, you’ve got yourself a feast!
